Had a fantastic experience on Saturday with Fitz who guided us safely up to Hellvelyn and across the ridges. He was very experienced and very patient in guiding us expertly across striding edge and telling us how to scramble and where to put our feet etc.
it was a truly memorable day out with a great group of fellow hikers and we had the best weather possible… will definitely be back for another guided hike ⛰️☺️

Helvellyn - Striding Edge
Wow…a truly incredible day. We came, we saw, we conquered…all down to Fitz and his incredible knowledge of Striding Edge and the safest way to navigate from start to finish.
A truly wholesome, exhilarating experience I’ll never forget. Fitz sharing valuable insight and knowledge of the local area…and even tips how to tie my boots to prevent blisters! He is the difference that makes the difference!

Booked to go up Helvellyn with them yesterday. Brilliant experience from start to finish. The guide was so knowledgeable and experienced and really helpful when navigating the trickier sections of the route.

I had the best few days up in the Lakes with Fitz conquering Helvellyn and Blencathra. Completing striding edge, swirral edge, Halls fell ridge and sharp edge! Fitz is the best guide, fully knowledgeable and helps get you across all the tricky parts with easy direction and tips. You’ll make some amazing memories hitting a hike with Fitz and come away with a new friend.

I never could have achieved what I did without this man’s guidance! He was there when you need him but also let’s you have the space to push your boundaries (safely). His knowledge of the terrain is incredible and a truly inspiring guy. Thank you so much for helping me step out my comfort zone and complete Striding Edge! Helvellyn - striding edge & swirral edge

I’ve now been on a number of hikes with guided outdoors. Each one is perfectly planned and I’ve always felt safe and confident in fitz’s company.
He is knowledgeable and passionate about the Lake District and always happy to share his knowledge and answer any questions I have.

This is the second time I’ve summited helvellyn with him in a small group along striding edge. His guidance is absolutely spot on.
Today I summited with 3 friends who are all new to mountain hiking and scrambling but we’re wanting to challenge themselves both physically and mentally.
He has such an amazing presence and instantly made everyone within the group feel at ease.
He is friendly and professional and that also shows when he interacts with other members of the public that he passes whilst out walking.
Today he guided with expert precision and the others in the group have all expressed how grateful they were in how he calmed nerves and fears so effortlessly and made it a fun experience throughout. One member of the group has shared that this was infact ‘the best day of my life’.

I’d highly recommend Guided outdoors to anyone looking to explore the lakes.

I look forward to joining again soon and I’m also looking forward to completing a navigation course with them at some point this year.
