Day 2 – Adventure begins, Helvellyn Guided Walk
A full Breakfast will be prepared in the morning by your host along with a packed lunch for the day, before we kit up and start our journey up the incredible Helvellyn with your experienced Guided Outdoors mountain leader.
This is our most popular hike, and it’s very easy to see why! Dramatic ridges, challenging scrambles, and awe-inspiring views as our route takes us on the infamous Striding and Swirral Edge. An unforgettable adventure, which really is a must do for any outdoor enthusiast. On our descent we will also tick off Catstye Cam as we head back to the lodge.

You will then have some time to rest your legs in the lounge, maybe head down to the picturesque village of Glenridding before dinner is served at 19:00. After dinner we will be discussing tomorrow’s route along with some practical map learning skills from our Introduction to Navigation Course.
Day 3 – All aboard the Ullswater Steamers
Breakfast will be served for the final day by your host, followed by some time to pack your things ready for check out. We will drive down into Glenridding and park (car park fee not included) before starting our journey off on the historic Ullswater Steamers, which have been in operation for over 160 years, believed to be the oldest working passenger vessel in the world.

After a 35 minute cruise across Ullswater we begin our Guided Walk back to Glenridding via the Ullswater Way, walking one of Wainwright’s most-loved paths. In the shadow of the mountains, this lakeside walk provides an out of country experience through picturesque scenery, well looked after trails and small effort is rewarded with views that keep on giving.
Upon arriving back at the car park you may make your departure home or join us for a debrief at the Ullswater Inn to reflect on the day’s journey.
It is set to be an incredible weekend that we would love you to join us on, filled with adventure and amazing company, making memories that will last a lifetime.
